Foundational Series
The Interweave Foundations Series offers 4 week, focused groups designed to help you better understand your relationship with food, your body, and self. Each group builds awareness, reduces shame, and gives you practical tools to begin making meaningful changes. Attend just one or as many that fit for you. If you are interested in one but it is further out you can reach out and we will put you on the interest list. We will follow up closer to start date to see if you are still interested. All are Virtual. Open to AZ, CO, NV and WI.
TOPICS:
Your Brain and Emotional Eating.
Date: August 4, 2026
If you’ve ever blamed a lack of willpower for emotional eating, the truth is your brain's reward system has simply built an automatic habit loop to survive stress. This group focuses on the neurobiology of comfort food, giving you practical, brain-based tools to better understanding your urges and begin shifting your relationship with food.
Why Food Becomes Coping
Date: Sept 1, 2026
Food is an effective and quick way to find comfort and calm the nervous system but this can disconnect us from the deeper emotional need. Learn the purpose of these patterns and how to find realistic, alternative ways to soothe your nervous system and take care of yourself.
Unravel Food Rules and Patterns
Date: October 6, 2026
Dieting beliefs and rigid "food rules" often force us into all-or-nothing thinking that keeps both our minds and our nervous systems stuck. Examine how these protective patterns developed and get you realistic tools to challenge them so you can move toward a more flexible relationship with food.
The Body Image Trap
Date: November 3, 2026
We tend to view body dissatisfaction as a personal/moral flaw rather than a consuming societal trap. Explore how these deep traps develop and strategies to interrupt body checking, comparison and harsh self criticism.
Finding Your Way Back to Your Body
Date: December 1, 2026
Dieting and shame often teach us to live in our minds rather than our bodies. This group focuses on rebuilding body awareness, reconnecting with your body's signals, and moving out of survival mode and back into yourself.
Reclaiming You: Beyond Shame, Food and Body
This is a 12 week closed group for adults who want to go deeper into the underlying emotions, family patterns, cultural and brain based factors that keep eating and body image struggles present. This group provides a safe, supportive environment for processing, insight, and peer connection. Each session is virtual and open to AZ, CO, NV and WI.
Beyond the Food Noise: Navigating the Emotional Journey of GLP-1’s
Many people expect GLP-1 medications to change their eating and quiet food noise. This therapy group explores the emotional impact of:
Weight loss and changes in the body
Coping with comments, attention and reactions from others
Adjusting to change in appetite, hunger and role food plays in your life
Processing shame, guilt and any complicated feelings about using medication
Exploring disappointment when medication or weight loss doesn’t feel the way you expected it would
Managing anxiety about progress, maintenance or weight regain.
Participants will have the opportunity to process their experiences in a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while developing a deeper understanding of the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that remain even when food no longer serves the same role. This group is virtual and open to AZ, CO, NV and WI.
